Adva Goldstone was born in 1990 in Jerusalem, Israel.
She is a graduate of the Fine Arts department, Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem, Israel and currently lives and works in Jerusalem, Israel.
Adva’s main focus is painting.
Her figures undergo a process of abstraction. They become forms upon great surfaces of color. They become models.
Adva’s works continue a tradition of flattening in painting and resistance to create a three-dimensional space on a two-dimensional surface. She empties her figures from all content, leaving them with their external shape and then capturing the viewer through their grotesque gaze from every angle.
Adva has received the Presser prize for Excellence in Fine Arts, appears in the Mandel Institute art collection, in the Bezalel Academy of Arts archive and in various private collections
